The Wedding Day flow of events are as follows!
All dates and times have been omitted for security and safety reasons.

Day Before

The day before the wedding we will be decorating the church, having the wedding rehersal, and decorating the reception hall in the evening.  If you wish to help decorate the reception hall please contact the bride or groom for more details.  All help is appreciated and welcome.

Wedding Day

The day starts for the guests at the wedding itself of course.  Following the ceremony the guests will make their way to the Reception Hall for cookies and snacks while the Bridal Party sticks around for photos.  While waiting for the bride and groom please take the time to sign the guest book and photo frame in the entry way.  The bar will be open at this time and will stay open till the party ends.  And remember, all proceeds from the bar go to the bride and groom to help pay for the wedding.  So drink up, but drink responsibly.

Once the wedding party arrives they will be announced as they enter the hall.  We will start off the party with the traditional toasts, the blessing of the food, then the dinner.  Following dinner we will have the cutting of the cake.

After the cake we will need to clear away some tables to make room for the dance floor.  Please bear with us at this time.  Any help is appreciated, if you decide to help ask the Reception Hall Manager what you can do.  Once the dance floor has been cleared the dancing can begin.  The traditional first dances will include:

  • Bride and Groom

  • Bride and Father

  • Groom and Mother

After the opening dances the bouquet and garter will be tossed, and there will be some open dancing time to loosen up before the Dollar Dance.  The traditional rules that I grew up with are in effect.  Pay a dollar (or more, no change given), take a shot (if 21 or over), and get some dancing time with the bride or groom (your choice).  We will continue to have the Dollar Dance until the line dies down, then go back to an open dance floor till the end of the party.
